What the F is Tantric Living?
When I first heard of Tantra, I thought it was just a whole heap of orgies, hippies, and eye gazing.
Firstly, just HAD to include this pic - me at my first Tantra retreat in Byron, naked in mud. There’s a story behind this image… but I’ll leave that for another day 😉
So what the F is Tantric Living?
I get asked this all the time.
And to be honest, when I first heard of Tantra, I thought it was just a whole heap of orgies, stinky hippies, and eye gazing.
That’s what I imagined, anyway. It all felt a bit mysterious and alluring (minus the stinky hippies).
I was curious. Turned on by the mystery of it.
I wanted to learn more - but I was also a bit scared.
Scared of what I might find.
Scared of what it might awaken in me as a young woman exploring my sexuality.
But I followed my heart (and my pussy, of course), found a teacher I felt drawn to, and dove in.
And what I discovered was this:
The truth? Tantra is none of that.
And all of it.
And something far deeper.
Tantric living isn’t about incense and orgies.
It’s not about wearing white robes or mastering fancy breathwork (although sometimes that’s part of the journey).
It’s a way of being.
A path of devotion to truth, presence, embodiment, love, and life force itself.
Let me break it down.
Tantra is a path of aliveness.
Tantra says: everything belongs here.
The pleasure, the pain, the chaos, the calm.
The sacred and the profane. The heart and the genitals.
It’s not about transcending your humanness - it’s about embracing it.
Feeling it all. Welcoming it all. With open arms, soft hips, and a grounded body.
Tantra doesn’t ask you to fix yourself. F that.
It asks you to come home to yourself.
And Tantric living is f*cking brave.
To live tantrically is to live with your eyes wide open.
To stop performing and start feeling.
To meet life with presence, curiosity, and courage.
It means:
Speaking your truth instead of people-pleasing and keeping the peace
Choosing to keep your heart open when your instinct is to shut down and run away
Slowing down enough to feel all of your emotion, allowing it to flow
Touching your body with reverence - not for performance, but for authentic pleasure and connection
Allowing discomfort without rushing to escape it
Opening your heart, even when it would be easier to close it up
Asking yourself, ‘What would love choose?’
CHOOSING WITH AWARENESS WHAT BRINGS JOY TO YOUR LIFE. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
This is the deep work. And the heart of Tantra.
Want to explore this deeper?
I'm hosting a 2-hour live masterclass called Everyday Tantra - an intimate dive into embodied intimacy, sexual empowerment, and the art of weaving ecstasy into the everyday.
It’s for anyone curious about how Tantra can feel practical, grounded, and wildly alive in real life (not just in a retreat setting or the bedroom).
You’ll leave with tools, inspiration, and a deeper connection to your own erotic aliveness.
Come as you are.
Bring your heart. Bring your curiosity.
Let’s meet inside.
Love this. I feld how deep connected with mud.
I would love to try this, it sound very interesting and life changing ❤️
